Bretton AI is seeking Product Engineers to transform complex customer challenges into elegant technical solutions. In this role, you will take ownership of significant features from their initial conception through to production. You will collaborate directly with customers to deeply understand their requirements, design scalable architectures, and deliver code that demonstrably enhances compliance operations. This position offers a blend of in-depth technical work and substantial customer impact, where you will develop systems processing thousands of cases, significantly reducing time for compliance teams and directly contributing to company revenue.
Responsibilities
- Develop intuitive interfaces for case management, reporting, and analytics.
- Build document analysis and verification systems.
- Construct agentic workflows coordinating AI tools and data services for research, enrichment, and verification, incorporating human review.
- Create tools for customers to configure and customize their compliance workflows.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building production software (Engineer level).
- Strong full-stack capabilities, including backend services, APIs, and databases.
- Demonstrated ability to ship customer-facing products where reliability is paramount.
- Possess an end-to-end ownership mindset, from requirements to deployment and iteration.
- Exhibit clear communication skills, capable of explaining technical decisions to varied audiences.
- Demonstrate product thinking, understanding the 'why' behind development.
- Experience building workflow engines, orchestration systems, or process automation tools is valued.
- Experience working in regulated industries with a focus on compliance, auditability, and data integrity is valued.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into production applications is valued.
- Experience creating configuration systems, admin tools, or workflow builders for non-technical users is valued.
- Experience designing systems for multi-tenancy, versioning, or complex authorization models is valued.
- A strong foundation in data modeling and distributed systems is valued.
