Privacy Policy

Last updated October 2026.

AiRagJobs lists AI engineering jobs and helps match candidates with jobs that fit them. This page explains what we collect, what we do with it, and how you can see or delete it.

What we collect

  • Your account: name, email address and password, or the basic profile Google or GitHub shares when you sign in with them.
  • Your profile: the answers you give during onboarding and on your profile, such as headline, roles, skills, years of experience, location, salary expectations and work preferences.
  • Your resume: the file you upload.
  • Your activity: jobs you save, hide, mark as applied or apply to, and the job alerts you set up.
  • Payments: if you buy a plan or pay to post a job, the plan, its status and renewal date, and the reference numbers our payment provider gives us. Card details go straight to the payment provider and never reach us.
  • Site visits: pages viewed, referrer, device type, browser, country, and a one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself). We keep these for 180 days.

Cookies and browser storage

We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We store only these in your browser:

  • Sign-in cookie: keeps you signed in. Set only when you sign in, and removed when you sign out.
  • Visit ID: a random ID kept in your browser's local storage, so our own visit statistics can tell one visit from another. It isn't linked to your account or shared with anyone.
  • Theme: whether you chose light or dark mode.
  • Dismissed notices: a cookie that remembers you closed a site announcement, so it stays closed.

You can clear these in your browser at any time. Clearing the sign-in cookie signs you out.

How we use AI on your resume

When you upload a resume, we send it to Google's Gemini AI service to read it into a structured summary: the roles your experience fits, your skills and your years of experience. You can see this summary on your profile, and if it's wrong you can mark it so and we stop using it.

We use that summary and your profile answers to score how well you fit open jobs. Scores are calculated by our own rules (skills, role, experience, work arrangement and salary), and Gemini may write a short explanation of a score. We store these scores and explanations.

Your matches are for you. Scores and explanations are never shown to employers, and no decision about you is made automatically: a score never rejects you from a job or decides whether you're hired. Our team can review matches to check the system is working well.

Where job listings come from

Most listings are collected from companies' public careers pages and job boards. A listing can include what the company published, such as the name of a hiring contact. To have a listing about you corrected or removed, write to us at the address below.

Who sees your data

  • Employers you apply to: when you apply to a job, that employer sees your name, email address, headline, cover letter and the resume you applied with.
  • Our team: to run the service, review matches and help you.
  • Service providers: Google (Gemini, to read resumes and explain matches), Paddle (our merchant of record, to take payments, handle sales tax and manage plans), our email provider (to send account and job emails), and our hosting provider. They process data only to provide their service to us.
  • Company logos: logos on the site load from logo.dev, which, like any site an image loads from, sees your IP address and browser.

We don't sell your data.

How we protect your resume

Resumes are stored privately. They are never available at a public address: anyone who views one gets a link that stops working after 30 minutes.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When your account is deleted, we cancel any paid plan and delete your profile, resume, resume summary, matches, applications, alerts and saved jobs. Paddle keeps its own record of past payments, as payment providers must for tax and accounting.

Your rights

You can see and change most of your data on your profile, and ask us to delete your account at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to [email protected].

Changes

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
