Blissway is a startup focused on simplifying toll collection and improving highway safety through deep tech, AI/ML, hardware, SaaS, and IoT. We have established a significant technological lead in the global tolling industry and operate with a lean, growing team. This role is for an engineer who is passionate about taking machine learning models from development to reliable production environments. You will be responsible for the infrastructure, deployment, and monitoring that ensures models are accurate and performant in real-world applications, processing millions of images daily.
Responsibilities
- Own the infrastructure for training and serving ML models.
- Manage model versioning, deployment, and rollback processes.
- Optimize pipelines and inference for large-scale data processing (11 million images/day).
- Build systems for real-world hardware deployment on roadside devices.
- Develop and implement monitoring systems to detect model degradation.
- Manage updates to ensure model accuracy in production.
- Build the path for deploying and updating models on edge devices.
Requirements
- 2 to 6 years of full-time software engineering experience building and running production systems.
- Experience building reliable production systems including pipelines, deployment, and observability.
- Understanding of ML model training and evaluation, with the ability to debug models in production.
- Fluent in Python.
- Experience taking ML models beyond the notebook stage (deployment, monitoring, retraining).
- Experience deploying to edge or resource-constrained hardware.
- Experience running own servers instead of fully managed cloud services.
