About the job

Commure is building the AI Operating System for healthcare, transforming how care is delivered, documented, and financed. Our platform spans the full care journey with Ambient AI, intelligent Agents, and autonomous RCM processing. We are at the center of transforming healthcare's $1 trillion administrative burden, with over 500,000 clinicians trusting our platform. Our Air AI team specifically is developing the intelligence layer within the clinical workflow, enabling listening, documentation, reasoning, and action to alleviate clinician burden. This involves real-time transcription, a conversational clinical assistant, and an AI Skills Library for automating clinical tasks.

  • Leverage and build on AI/LLM technologies to accelerate product development and deliver intelligent, automated experiences.
  • Design and influence decisions for scalable, AI-powered healthcare solutions architecture.
  • Lead or contribute to technical planning for new features, considering feasibility, clinical usability, and business impact.
  • Establish best practices for code quality, testing, deployment, and observability.
  • Mentor engineers on design patterns, code standards, and technical thinking.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and clinical experts to ship intuitive solutions for real clinical environments.
  • Participate in a fast-moving team that ships daily and makes decisions quickly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional software engineering experience, ideally in a high-growth or startup environment.
  • Strong fullstack skills: Python on the backend (required), TypeScript/React on the frontend.
  • Working knowledge of containers and cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs or building AI-powered features in production.
  • Track record of driving work from early ideation to successful production deployment.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with demonstrated resourcefulness.
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable working with engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in fast-moving environments where shipping quickly is the norm.
