About the job
Accenture Song is seeking an AI Native Product Engineer to join their Design & Digital Products team. This role involves embedding directly with clients as a technologist and product thinker, leading the engineering of AI-native digital products from concept to production. You will be responsible for shaping not only what gets built but how it gets built, setting the technical standard for AI-native delivery. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on engineering depth with creativity and product intuition, architecting around large language models, retrieval systems, and multi-agent orchestration with a focus on production-ready solutions. This is a client-facing role where you will translate AI possibilities into product realities and ensure those realities work effectively.
Responsibilities
- Frame problems, align priorities, and translate needs into orchestrated AI workflows in partnership with stakeholders.
- Design and engineer enterprise-ready AI agents, including retrieval, orchestration, policy-based routing, tool invocation, evaluation harnesses, and lifecycle observability.
- Translate complex AI behaviors into transparent, controllable, and accessible user experiences in collaboration with design teams.
- Build abstraction layers across AI providers (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, open-source models) for portable, multi-provider pipelines.
- Contribute to AI-native component libraries and design system patterns for consistency and scalability.
- Apply containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectures for scalable AI systems.
- Own CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm), monitoring, and debugging for production deployments.
- Build working prototypes and proof-of-concept systems to bridge design vision and technical reality.
- Serve as the primary technical voice in client engagements, framing problems and aligning technical trade-offs with business goals.
- Lead design sprints, co-creation sessions, and code-with workshops with clients.
- Define and track evaluation frameworks for agent accuracy, latency, cost, and safety to drive continuous improvement.
- Document reusable patterns, architectural decision records, and best practices.
Requirements
- Demonstrated engineering experience with cloud-native systems including APIs, microservices, containerization, and serverless architectures.
- Deep, production-proven expertise in agentic AI systems: agents, multi-agent orchestration, context engineering, RAG pipelines, and workflow automation.
- Hands-on experience with leading AI platforms such as Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, and Google Vertex AI.
- Comfort building abstraction layers across multiple AI providers.
- Strong programming skills in Python (primary).
- Experience with at least one of Java, TypeScript, or C#.
- Experience with evaluation tooling, logging.
