About the job
Xsolla is seeking AI Engineer Interns to drive its transition to an AI-first company. Interns will work on internal AI initiatives to accelerate tooling and integrations, and build proof-of-concept applications on Xsolla's APIs to demonstrate AI-powered workflows. This is a hands-on role where you will ship code that impacts internal teams or external users, collaborating closely with senior engineers and a global cohort of fellow interns. You will gain experience in building production-grade, customer-facing code and learn to leverage AI as a core part of the development process.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior engineers to identify and implement AI tooling and integrations that reduce friction.
- Build applications and integrations using Xsolla's APIs and SDKs to showcase AI-assisted development.
- Ship functional code that reaches real users, not just temporary exercises.
- Utilize agentic coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor as a primary development method.
- Share project progress and AI solutions through weekly lightning-talk demos.
- Work with a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership of problems from context to completion.
- Collaborate with senior engineers for mentorship on production practices and with fellow interns for idea exchange.
Requirements
- Demonstrated passion for building, evidenced by side projects, hackathons, or open-source contributions.
- Practical experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to build functional applications.
- Ability to explain how AI was used in a project and how its effectiveness was validated.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, starting development before seeking detailed specifications.
- Comfort with developing modern full-stack solutions and a strong capacity for rapid learning.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program.
