About the job
voize is building AI companions to seamlessly take over digital workflows for frontline workers, amplifying their impact rather than replacing them. Backed by significant funding and trusted by numerous facilities and users, voize combines cutting-edge technology with a strong social mission. The company is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to co-own its ML App, an in-house platform crucial for data annotation, ML training orchestration, model evaluation, and secure data flows. This role is key to making internal tooling so effective that external vendors become unnecessary and enabling HIPAA-compliant training on sensitive customer data.
Responsibilities
- Co-own the ML App codebase, including React/TS SPA, Kotlin services, and Kotlin ETL on EKS.
- Design and implement features for data labeling, data exploration, ML training orchestration, model evaluation, model playgrounds, and ML issue triage.
- Lead the next iteration of in-house annotation tooling, focusing on UX, throughput, and task-type extensibility to eliminate the need for external vendors.
- Maintain CI/CD, EKS deployments, and observability for the ML App, and resolve defects.
- Collaborate with the Platform team on prerequisites for new training flows, such as FGA proxy and OIDC.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production fullstack web applications with React and TypeScript.
- Excellent backend experience with Kotlin (or JVM), including services, ETL/data pipelines, and schema design.
- Demonstrated ownership of a complex, production-critical system.
- Experience engineering with regulated or sensitive data (HIPAA, GDPR, BAA, PHI, or similar).
- Strong product and UX instincts, particularly in areas like annotation, labeling, data exploration, and operational UIs.

- 30 vacation days plus your birthday off
- Germany Transport Ticket
- Urban Sports Club membership
- Regular company off-sites
