About the job
Percepta is seeking an AI Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of the infrastructure, deployment, and operational reliability for Percepta's AI systems, including autonomous agents. This role involves hardening existing infrastructure, strengthening deployment pipelines, and defining new SRE practices for operating autonomous systems. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between AI research and production, contributing to the foundational decisions that shape the future of agentic infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the operational floor, including SLOs, alert routing, on-call rotations, incident response, and postmortems.
- Own and evolve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform across AWS, Azure, and GCP, incorporating tests, policy-as-code, and drift discipline.
- Automate the setup of new customer environments, including firewall exceptions, DNS delegations, identities, tag policies, and certificate chains.
- Ensure parity across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
- Implement HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance within the infrastructure through code and automated evidence generation.
- Manage and enhance the observability stack (Grafana, Loki, Mimir, Tempo, Alloy, Langfuse, LiteLLM) to provide insights into agent behavior, decisions, and costs.
- Provide engineers with a streamlined deployment process for tenant environments.
- Define and implement infrastructure patterns for future autonomous AI systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience operating production infrastructure (SRE, platform, or production engineering).
- Experience operating software in environments outside of direct control (BYOC, single-tenant, on-prem, air-gapped).
- Proficiency across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including networking, IAM, and managed Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE).
- Experience with Kubernetes in production on managed clusters across multiple providers.
- Deep expertise in Terraform, including module design, state management, testing, and drift detection.
- Experience with incident management, postmortems, and SLOs that drive behavioral change.
- Experience working under regulated compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI, FedRAMP).
- Comfortable in customer-facing interactions, including architecture reviews.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for automation.
- Genuine curiosity about the systems being operated, particularly autonomous agents.
