Mercor is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join their Agent Platform team. This role is central to Mercor's mission of organizing human intelligence to power the AI economy. You will own the end-to-end development of the agent platform, which serves as both an internal workbench and an external storefront for building, running, and showcasing AI agents. This platform is critical for enabling hundreds of internal users and dozens of enterprise clients, requiring a strong focus on both engineering craft and product impact, ensuring scalable, reliable systems and intuitive interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Own the agent platform across the full stack, from React interfaces to backend APIs and services orchestrating agents, workflows, and integrations.
- Enable hundreds of internal users and dozens of enterprise clients by shipping features, reliability, and polish.
- Build the foundational layer for other teams to quickly stand up new agent use cases, task formats, and client configurations.
- Ship high-leverage product features that enhance both internal productivity and customer-facing quality.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into well-scoped technical solutions through collaboration with Applied AI researchers, product, design, and operations.
Requirements
- 2+ years of fullstack engineering experience building and shipping production software.
- Deep proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (React + Next.js) and strong grasp of frontend architecture, state management, and design patterns.
- Solid backend experience in Python and/or Node.js, including designing and building relational databases, REST APIs, and async task infrastructure.
- Strong design sense and empathy for end-users with a high bar for usability.
- Experience with complex, high-throughput systems (pipelines, large data volumes, or multi-tenant architectures).
- High ownership mindset, able to navigate ambiguity and drive projects from design through delivery.
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical and product tradeoffs clearly.
