About the job
We are seeking an AI Engineer to join our team and contribute to features that empower developers to understand, evaluate, and enhance the performance of their agents. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will bridge the gap between experimentation, benchmarking, and product code, applying insights gained from agent evaluation to shape our framework. Our work focuses on building agentic features into Mastra, including trace intelligence and agent learning capabilities for automatic self-improvement, as well as running Mastra primitives on industry-standard benchmarks to fine-tune configurations.
Responsibilities
- Build features for understanding traces, evaluating agent behavior, and implementing improvements.
- Run experiments on Mastra's primitives, identify performance strengths and weaknesses, and use findings to enhance configuration and behavior.
- Translate experimental work into usable capabilities for developers.
Requirements
- Shipped agents and agentic applications into production.
- Tuned and tweaked agents to improve accuracy.
- Ability to benchmark results against existing datasets or create new ones.
