About the job
Fin, now part of Salesforce, is seeking Senior Product Engineers to join their AI Group to build Fin's AI-powered products. Product Engineers in this role will work closely with ML Scientists and product teams, deeply understanding the product, customers, and the ML tech stack. The group is responsible for defining new ML features, researching algorithms and technologies, and rapidly prototyping for customer hands-on experience. This is a product-focused team that partners with Product and Design functions, enabling fast production cycles, often shipping to beta in weeks. They are passionate about applying machine learning, having productized everything from classic supervised models to novel applications of transformer neural networks, measuring real customer impact for each deployed model.
Responsibilities
- Build systems powering Fin's flagship AI products, primarily using an ML Python tech stack, and occasionally working across the product on the Rails app.
- Collaborate with ML Scientists to bring proof-of-concept code to production, ensuring robustness and scalability.
- Partner with external product teams to define the best AI-powered product experience for customers.
- Contribute to all phases of software development, including ideation, prototyping, implementation, and testing.
- Actively participate in hiring, mentoring, and career development of other engineers.
- Elevate technical standards, performance, reliability, and operational excellence within the group and across Fin.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience shipping high-quality products.
- Strong technical fundamentals and a willingness to learn and invest in development.
- Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language (e.g., Ruby, Python, Javascript).
- Strong willingness to advocate for good outcomes.
- Bias towards progress over perfection.
- BSc in Computer Science, Maths, Statistics, or a related discipline.
