We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - AI to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will build intelligent agents and applications serving health insurance plans covering over 15 million people. You'll partner closely with product, data science, and clinical teams to build the foundation that transforms how clinical intelligence is delivered at scale. Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and deploy AI-powered agents and applications.
- Design data and retrieval architectures for AI agents to access diverse healthcare sources.
- Design, review, and own high-quality agentic code, including leading releases, production deployments, and on-call support.
- Collaborate with ML/DS, product teams, and architects to define system requirements.
- Ensure agentic components comply with healthcare security and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and industry best practices.
- Contribute to agile development processes, including sprint planning and execution.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of information security activities.
- Ensure team competence related to information security.
- Implement and report on security policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience in the software development lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience working with popular agent frameworks and language models.
- Expertise in one or more modern development languages.
- Experience with AI architectures, Multi-agent systems, RAG, and Evaluation frameworks.
- Experience shaping engineering standards, frameworks, or libraries used across multiple teams.
- Familiarity with human-in-the-loop system design and AI safety considerations.
- Experience with graph-based or multi-modal data retrieval for AI reasoning.
