Cohere Health is transforming prior authorization using AI to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance patient care. This role is on the Clinical Intelligence team, focused on building AI/ML and Advanced Rules Engines to streamline and optimize the prior authorization process. You will contribute to the technical roadmap, support technical design, and drive the development, testing, and delivery of cloud platform and web applications. The role involves full-stack development, from database to frontend, with opportunities to integrate AI/LLM-based systems and potentially agent-based systems into product workflows.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the functional and technical roadmap for the team.
- Support the technical design process with data-driven analysis.
- Discover, understand, and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency.
- Contribute to feature design, development, testing, and delivery of the cloud platform and web applications.
- Support all parts of the platform, from database to frontend.
- Drive bi-monthly engineering releases.
- Perform production support duties periodically.
- Assist with information security activities implementation and maintenance.
- Ensure team competence related to information security.
- Implement security policies and procedures and report issues.
Requirements
- Experience working on software development teams, building and deploying full-stack web applications.
- Passion for building quality products and owning product development end-to-end.
- Ability to collaborate with product and design teams.
- Experience with common software development practices like version control, unit testing, and CI/CD.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 6-8 years of full-time experience in the software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency with Java/Groovy or Python.
- Experience building applications using React and Javascript.
- Familiarity with cloud development on AWS/Azure.
- Experience using relational (MySql, Postgres) and NoSQL (Dynamo, Elastic, Mongo) datastores.
- Ability to demonstrate high ownership for the entire SDLC.
- Self-starter requiring minimal direction with the ability to learn quickly.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM-based systems into product workflows (nice-to-have).
- Experience designing or implementing agent-based systems or AI products (nice-to-have).
