Cloudflare is seeking builders who are passionate about improving the Internet and leveraging AI to create innovative solutions. This role is for a technologist who enjoys collaborating with engineers and CTOs, understanding their technical challenges, and translating them into solutions using Cloudflare's platform. You will be instrumental in helping cutting-edge startups and cloud-native businesses build the next generation of internet products and AI initiatives. While you will engage in deep technical discussions, this is not a hands-on coding role, but rather one focused on technical discovery, translation, and evangelism.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery within the cloud-developer vertical to understand customer needs and how Cloudflare can fit.
- Engage early in the sales cycle, joining discovery calls and embedding with customer teams.
- Identify and map customer initiatives, particularly around new product development and AI, to the Cloudflare platform.
- Deliver compelling demos and architecture discussions.
- Run proof-of-concept builds.
- Evangelize the Cloudflare Developer Platform as a foundation for customer products and AI initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience in a pre-sales or other technical customer-facing role.
- Ability to engage directly with engineering teams and technical founders.
- Fluency in speaking the language of engineers and holding credible technical conversations.
- Deep understanding of the Cloudflare Developer Platform, including Workers, Durable Objects, Workers AI, R2, KV, D1, Vectorize, Queues, and Pages.
- Experience in the cloud-developer vertical.
- A 'builder' personality with a strong mix of pre-sales/technical customer-facing experience.
- Ability to thrive in an agile, fast-moving environment.
