Chai builds the design suite for molecules, training frontier models that learn the underlying foundations of biochemical structure and interaction. This role involves building the AI platform that allows scientists to direct research programs with agents, enabling them to work at the level of questions they want answered and delegate more of the work required to answer them.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with scientists and researchers to define the interaction between people, agents, and models in therapeutic research programs.
- Develop products that accelerate the cycle from idea to experiment to decision-making, ensuring scientists can understand and guide the process.
- Construct core abstractions for agent execution, model inference, and scientific tools to enable seamless integration of new capabilities.
Requirements
- Strong software architecture and product judgment.
- Depth in complex applications or agent systems.
- Ability to identify clear abstractions in complex domains.
- Experience building systems that scale in scope.
- Practical understanding of agent limitations and evaluation methods.
