About the job

Commure is building the AI Operating System for healthcare, transforming how care is delivered, documented, and financed. Our platform integrates Ambient AI, intelligent Agents, and autonomous Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to address the $1 trillion administrative burden in healthcare. We empower over 500,000 clinicians across 500+ organizations, handling billions in claims and millions of patient interactions. Our recent $70M raise at a $7B valuation and recognition on the Fortune Future 50 list highlight our significant market impact and innovation.

The AI Integration Team is central to this mission, ensuring seamless data flow between our core RCM and Ambient products and over 40 Electronic Medical Records (EMRs). This role involves fetching and writing vital healthcare data via HL7, directly impacting the efficiency and accuracy of care delivery and administrative processes. We seek a Fullstack Engineer who thrives on end-to-end ownership, rapid deployment, and making a tangible difference in patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex, high-performance, reliable, and scalable integration solutions between our platform and third-party healthcare systems (EHRs, insurance providers).
  • Utilize LLM technology to automate the reverse-engineering of electronic health records.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and healthcare teams to define integration requirements and technical approaches.
  • Contribute to the technical direction of the integration platform by proposing and implementing architectural improvements.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end integration workflows, from design and development to deployment and monitoring.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot integration issues, and improve production reliability.
  • Ensure integration work adheres to healthcare compliance and security standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR).
  • Drive the implementation of integration development best practices, including testing, error handling, and CI/CD.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to implement monitoring and alerting systems for integration reliability.
  • Stay updated on healthcare technology trends and integration patterns, suggesting and applying innovations.
  • Participate in agile development cycles, including sprint planning and retrospectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
  • 2+ years of professional software development industry experience.
  • Proficiency in frontend languages like Javascript, HTML, CSS.
  • Proficiency in backend languages like Python, Go, or C++.
  • Experience with Git, GCP / AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, relational and non-relational databases, and monitoring/alerting tools.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing end-to-end solutions and making successful architectural decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
