Commure is building the AI Operating System for healthcare, transforming a $1 trillion administrative burden. Our platform integrates Ambient AI, intelligent Agents, and autonomous RCM to streamline care delivery, documentation, and financing. We are seeking an iOS Engineer to help shape and build our next-generation ambient AI platform for healthcare. This role focuses on creating mobile experiences that help clinicians by automatically capturing, understanding, and structuring clinical conversations in real time. You will own meaningful product areas from idea to launch, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate emerging technology into intuitive and dependable mobile workflows. The ideal candidate possesses strong mobile product judgment, native platform depth, and the ability to learn across the stack, with a focus on creating fast, clear, trustworthy, and natural user experiences in a clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and own high-impact mobile experiences for clinicians from exploration through launch and iteration.
- Develop new interaction patterns for AI-native healthcare software, including real-time transcription, AI-assisted review, multimodal inputs, agentic actions, and offline care experiences.
- Collaborate with clinicians, product managers, and designers to translate real-world workflows into simple mobile experiences.
- Partner with AI and backend engineers to integrate model capabilities into production.
- Contribute to both the Flutter application and its native Swift/iOS integrations.
- Own the quality of shipped features, including performance, accessibility, reliability, analytics, testing, and observability.
- Prototype quickly, learn from usage, and refine experiences based on feedback.
- Help shape mobile product and technical strategy for the Ambient AI product line.
- Mentor other engineers and elevate mobile engineering standards.
- Occasionally contribute to adjacent platforms like web applications or Chrome extensions.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional mobile development experience with ownership of user-facing products or features.
- Deep experience in iOS or cross-platform mobile development.
- Strong native expertise in Swift/iOS, including platform conventions, app lifecycle, permissions, background execution, and performance.
- Experience working with or willingness to learn a Flutter-based codebase.
- Proven track record of taking mobile experiences from ambiguous ideas to polished products.
- Strong product judgment and attention to detail in usability, performance, and craft.
- Understanding of reliability as a core part of user experience, especially for sensitive workflows.
- Experience collaborating with product, design, backend, data, or AI teams.
- Comfortable working across product features and supporting mobile systems.
- Ownership mindset and bias for action, driving work to completion.
