Zencoder.ai is building and orchestrating AI agents designed to handle real-world tasks like coding, research, and operations. What began as developer tooling has evolved into a collaborative platform for humans and AI agents working together on knowledge-based tasks. This role focuses on 'AI harness engineering,' ensuring the fundamental systems like CI/CD, testing, infrastructure as code, observability, and secure delivery are robust enough for AI agents to operate productively. The goal is to enhance developer experience and platform engineering, making workflows smoother for both humans and AI, and to integrate security seamlessly into the development process, addressing the evolving threat landscape posed by AI agents.
Responsibilities
- Shape the platform and infrastructure that product teams build upon.
- Improve the full developer loop, including local development, remote agents, CI/CD, deployment, and observability.
- Build shared tooling, templates, and 'golden paths' to provide significant leverage for teams.
- Stay ahead of security trends, particularly how AI agents influence vulnerability emergence and exploitation.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background with experience in building tooling and managing core infrastructure.
- Fluency with AI coding agents, understanding their mechanics, failure points, and effectiveness.
- A product-oriented mindset for internal tooling, treating engineers and agents as users.
- Deep experience with CI/CD, automated testing, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud platforms, and developer tooling.
- Passion for software security and secure delivery practices (shift-left / SecDevOps) in both traditional and AI agent contexts.
