Unlearn is seeking an AI Engineer to join their Science organization, focusing on scaling the use of AI agents for core business problems within clinical development. This role is crucial for delivering impact in efficiency and extensibility by building new capabilities across machine learning, statistics, and AI tools. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, taking end-to-end ownership of their mission, collaborating extensively, and investigating a broad range of tools and techniques to ensure team success. Unlearn's mission is to help life-saving treatments reach patients faster by making clinical trials smarter using data, AI, and digital twins.
Responsibilities
- Build AI agents, skills, and tools for digital twin workflows.
- Develop infrastructure, harnessing, and governance systems for agentic workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with research, development, and delivery teams to define and build AI-centric solutions.
- Gather user feedback and drive adoption of new tools across teams.
- Communicate AI capabilities and usage to internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on AI tooling advancements to inform Unlearn's work.
Requirements
- B.S. in computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Prior experience with healthcare or clinical machine learning applications.
- 2+ years of experience developing and applying AI skills, agents, and tools to real-world problems.
- Experience with AI systems, including infrastructure, agent creation, and usage.
- Experience with AWS cloud computing services.
- Demonstrated success in executing AI projects in an industry setting.
