As a Research Intern in the Model Shaping team, you will contribute to advanced post-training methods, explore new techniques for efficient neural network training, and work on robust evaluation of foundation model capabilities. The Model Shaping team focuses on tailoring open foundation models for downstream applications, developing services for model selection and improvement, and creating new methods for efficient model training and evaluation. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research, potentially leading to publications in top-tier conferences.
Responsibilities
- Research and implement novel techniques in focus areas like post-training methods, efficient training, and model evaluation.
- Design and conduct experiments to validate research hypotheses.
- Document research findings for scientific publications and blog posts.
- Integrate research outcomes into Together AI products.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning fundamentals.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
- Familiarity with the Transformer architecture and recent foundation model developments.
