Together AI is seeking an experienced AI Infra (Systems Engineers) Lead/Manager to join our team in Amsterdam. You will be responsible for keeping all user-facing services and production systems running smoothly, blending operational discipline with software engineering principles. This role involves applying sound engineering practices and automation to our operating environments and codebase, with a specialization in systems like operating systems, storage, and networking, while focusing on availability, reliability, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, develop, and coach the SRE Team.
- Build and manage infrastructure using Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes for massive user scaling.
- Develop and implement monitoring systems to ensure high-quality service.
- Design and implement operational processes, including deployments and upgrades.
- Debug production issues across all services and stack levels.
- Identify product architecture improvements for reliability, performance, and availability.
- Plan the growth of Together AI's infrastructure.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to availability incidents.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional SRE or related experience.
- Ideally 2 years of experience as a Lead SRE.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Expert knowledge of Ansible (roles, playbooks), Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages.
- Direct experience with monitoring and observability practices.
- Advanced knowledge of cloud services.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with diverse stakeholders.
