Responsibilities
- Build and ship features across Steel's APIs, SDKs, and developer tools.
- Improve the performance and reliability of browser infrastructure.
- Create open-source demos showcasing AI agent and browser capabilities.
- Experiment with AI models, prompts, and agent frameworks for browser automation.
- Work with containers, VMs, proxies, and distributed systems to scale browser sessions.
- Debug and fix engineering problems to enhance Steel's speed and reliability.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong programming fundamentals and experience building software projects.
- Comfortable writing code and learning new languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Actively use AI coding tools and agents in development workflow.
- Curious about systems and eager to solve challenging technical problems.
- Able to take ownership, move quickly, and learn independently.
- Able to work in person from the Toronto office.
