Sendbird is seeking an AI Agent Engineering Intern to collaborate with engineering and product teams in building, integrating, and deploying intelligent agents. This internship offers hands-on experience from prototyping to production, utilizing modern web frameworks, LLM APIs, and tooling pipelines. The internship duration is flexible, typically 8-12 weeks. Sendbird combines omnichannel AI with communication APIs to help companies build AI agents and create meaningful customer connections at scale, backed by significant investment and a global presence.
Responsibilities
- Prototype and develop AI agents.
- Develop micro APIs for prompt engineering tasks like hallucination detection and conversation resolution.
- Test and validate AI agent accuracy using internal datasets and tools.
- Integrate backend APIs supporting Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge bases, and custom toolchains.
- Craft, test, and refine prompts for various use cases.
- Set up CI/CD pipelines for prompt versioning and agent deployment.
- Embed agents into web, chat, and API-centric environments.
- Monitor real-time performance metrics and implement observability features like logs and dashboards.
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers, product managers, and UX designers.
Requirements
- Experience writing clean, maintainable Python code.
- Hands-on experience with backend development using server-side frameworks like Django, FastAPI, or Express.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and agile team collaboration skills.
- Eligibility for alternative military service (for South Korean applicants).
