DreamLever is seeking its first in-house engineer to lead technical execution on a live, customer-facing AI product. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will write code daily, make engineering decisions, and translate product priorities into polished software. You will work closely with the founder to understand the vision, translate detailed direction and prototypes into code, and move quickly from feedback to shipped improvements. The role involves owning technical execution, coordinating development, deciding what to build autonomously versus delegating to an external engineering partner, and overseeing execution to meet product goals. You will also be responsible for improving the AI quality of the system's agent and maintaining a clear and reliable engineering foundation.
Responsibilities
- Ship high-impact product improvements quickly by building across the full stack and using coding agents effectively.
- Turn product intent into working software by implementing founder direction, design prototypes, and detailed feedback.
- Learn the existing system deeply and quickly to understand architecture, integrations, data flows, and technical risks.
- Develop and improve the AI Chief of Staff agent's use of company context, information evaluation, and action-taking.
- Drive coordinated and dependable delivery by breaking priorities into clear work, making realistic commitments, and communicating risks.
- Contribute practical product ideas and creative solutions with strong UI/UX judgment.
- Maintain organized code, consistent naming, and useful documentation, while improving testing, observability, and deployment.
Requirements
- Proven track record of shipping substantial production work quickly.
- Fluency in using coding agents and managing multiple work streams effectively.
- Ability to quickly orient in unfamiliar codebases and grasp product intent.
- Strong technical skills across backend systems, integrations, data models, and user-facing experiences.
- Experience building LLM-enabled features and understanding their quality factors.
- Thoughtfulness about user experience, with an interest in productivity tools.
- Organized and dependable with clear communication and commitment-keeping abilities.
- Collaborative, direct, and receptive to feedback.
