Salesforce is seeking experienced Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy complex agentic AI solutions within enterprise customer environments. In this role, you will lead technical delivery, mentor other engineers, and establish engineering standards for deploying agentic AI at scale. You will partner closely with a Deployment Strategist to own outcomes from architecture decisions to production, leveraging best-in-class AI tools and a talented team. Your field experience will directly influence product roadmaps, as you'll be expected to stay at the forefront of emerging AI tools and frameworks, sharing your learnings with the team and customers.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end build and deployment of agentic AI solutions for strategic customers, from architecture to production.
- Design and ship agentic systems including agent logic, tool calls, multi-agent orchestration, and guardrails.
- Manage the data lifecycle for AI applications, including model design, processing pipelines, and data readiness.
- Resolve complex technical blockers related to data integration, model deployment, orchestration, and performance.
- Build and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting.
- Develop proofs-of-concept and MVPs rapidly, with sound judgment on deferrable decisions.
- Codify learnings into patterns, reusable assets, and internal frameworks for organizational use.
- Mentor other engineers through code reviews, pair sessions, and shared work.
- Provide senior engineering judgment on at-risk or critical deployments.
- Surface field insights to Product and Engineering teams to inform the Agentforce roadmap.
- Translate customer business challenges into deployable agentic solutions in partnership with Deployment Strategists.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience with end-to-end ownership of scalable production systems in enterprise AI, cloud, or SaaS.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Expertise in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex, and familiarity with others.
- Experience integrating LLMs into production, using frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Applied prompt engineering and responsible AI practices in real customer contexts.
- Deep experience in data modeling, processing, and analytics across platforms like Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Deep Salesforce platform expertise including Agentforce, Apex, LWC, Flows, and Salesforce APIs.
- Entrepreneurial, get-things-done mindset focused on fast, impactful delivery.
- Experience mentoring technical talent and creating reusable assets (frameworks, playbooks, tooling).
- Clear and credible communication with engineering peers, customer architects, and executive stakeholders.
- Active engagement with the evolving AI/data landscape.
