About the job
As a Director, you will design and develop AI and machine learning solutions to support data-driven decision-making and business growth within our General Tax Consulting practice. You will set strategic direction, lead business development, and guide multiple initiatives while shaping client relationships and mentoring future leaders. This role involves applying data, algorithms, and software engineering to build scalable AI systems, translate ideas into practical solutions, and advance technology use across tax-focused client work.
Responsibilities
- Set strategic direction for AI engineering solutions supporting tax innovation.
- Lead client-facing AI engagements from concept to deployment, translating business needs into technical approaches.
- Design and implement machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing models for tax and data use cases.
- Oversee data wrangling, feature development, model tuning, and integration of AI systems.
- Develop Python-based solutions for text analytics, text extraction, and sentiment analysis.
- Advise on AI implementation approaches balancing technical feasibility, scalability, and business value.
- Build executive relationships and identify new opportunities for AI-driven services.
- Promote responsible use of open source software and emerging AI technologies.
- Mentor teams in analytical thinking, creativity, and innovation.
- Validate adherence to professional standards and code of conduct in client work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- At least 9 years of experience.
- Preference for a degree in Analytics/Data Science, Artificial Intelligence/Robotics, Computer Science/Information Systems, or Engineering.
- Certifications in data engineering, machine learning, or cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Demonstrated AI engineering leadership in tax-focused client settings.
- Experience applying machine learning and cloud platforms to client solutions.
- Ability to translate tax requirements into AI-enabled technical designs.
- Experience guiding teams through innovation, governance, and delivery choices.
- Experience developing thought leadership on emerging tax automation approaches.
