Join PwC's Finance Transformation practice as a Junior Consultant specializing in BI & Reporting, AI & Machine Learning for the Banking and Asset & Wealth Management sectors. This role focuses on digitally transforming finance functions by optimizing processes like closing, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A. You will be instrumental in creating dashboards, KPIs, and data models using tools such as Power BI, Power Query, and DAX, alongside designing Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Data Platforms. The position also involves applying Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI to areas like forecasting, anomaly detection, simulations, and finance process automation. You will engage directly with clients, from gathering requirements to designing, developing, testing, and implementing solutions, and will contribute to evaluating the feasibility, benefits, and ROI of data, analytics, and AI use cases. This is a cross-functional role blending finance, business analysis, data, technology, and innovation, with opportunities for national and international projects.
Responsibilities
- Support digital transformation of finance functions for banking and asset & wealth management clients.
- Optimize finance processes including closing, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A.
- Create dashboards, KPIs, and data models using Power BI, Power Query, and DAX.
- Design Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Data Platforms.
- Apply Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI to forecasting, anomaly detection, simulations, and process automation.
- Utilize Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) for reporting, digitalization, and automation.
- Engage with clients to gather requirements, design, develop, test, and implement solutions.
- Evaluate the feasibility, benefits, and ROI of Data, Analytics, and AI use cases.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in Finance Transformation, Business Intelligence, Data & Analytics, digitalization, or automation, preferably in Financial Services.
- Good knowledge of core finance processes (balance sheet, reporting, controlling, consolidation, planning, budgeting, forecasting) and basic accounting principles (IFRS and/or local GAAP).
- Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools, especially Power BI, and familiarity with Tableau, Qlik, or Looker.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, Power Query, DAX, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, ETL/ELT, and Data Integration.
- Familiarity with modern Data and Cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure/Fabric, Google BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, Teradata, Oracle) and at least one major cloud ecosystem (Azure, GCP, AWS).
- Experience or knowledge in Machine Learning, forecasting, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics, with familiarity with platforms like Azure AI, Azure Machine Learning, Vertex AI, or Databricks ML.
- Interest in Generative AI and Agentic AI, with knowledge of concepts like LLM, Gemini, OpenAI/Azure OpenAI, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, Text-to-SQL, and AI Agents.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Ability to perform business analysis and requirements gathering.
- Capacity to translate business needs into data or technology solutions.
- Good written and spoken English proficiency.
