Prodigal is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join their AI Agents team. The company provides a connected AI platform for financial institutions, enabling them to make millions of high-stakes decisions daily regarding customer outreach, offers, and case management. Prodigal's AI agents are already in production, analyzing conversations, guiding human agents, and orchestrating outreach. This role involves expanding these AI agents into new areas like originations, document processing, and back-office workflows. The ideal candidate will work on real production AI systems, have end-to-end ownership, and contribute to a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy LLM-powered AI agents, including voice agents, for production use cases.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of AI systems, from initial design to ongoing monitoring and iteration.
- Design and optimize prompts, RAG pipelines, and evaluation frameworks to enhance system performance.
- Collaborate with customers and implementation managers to understand workflows and solve real-world problems.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in backend, data, or AI engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience or exposure to LLMs, RAG, or prompt engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to work with high ownership, in ambiguous situations, and ship quickly.
- Comfortable interacting with customers and cross-functional teams.
