PALO IT is seeking a Tech Lead/Cloud Architect to join their team in CDMX or Bogota. This role involves overseeing backend and cloud architecture, leading engineering teams, and ensuring platform robustness within a global technology consultancy. Responsibilities
- Architect and implement robust backend cloud solutions using Ruby & Ruby on Rails, ensuring performance and scalability.
- Lead engineering teams, fostering collaboration, mentoring, and stakeholder communication.
- Oversee the integration of various APIs, including WhatsApp Cloud API and Conversions API.
- Manage cloud architecture on Google Cloud, leveraging Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration.
- Implement enterprise solutions focusing on high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in backend development with advanced proficiency in Ruby & Ruby on Rails.
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, Redis, and Sidekiq.
- Proven experience designing REST APIs with documentation and best practices.
- Knowledge in cloud architecture (Google Cloud) and experience with Kubernetes (GKE).
- Familiarity with Vertex AI, Gemini API, and agentic frameworks (RAG, observability, evaluation, logs).
- Experience in CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of enterprise solutions, including high availability, disaster recovery, and observability.
