PALO IT is seeking a Software Architect in CDMX to lead the technical delivery of digital products, guiding teams towards scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions with a strong emphasis on AI-first engineering practices. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of technology solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Drive architectural decisions and trade-offs, applying patterns such as Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean/Hexagonal Architecture, and event-driven approaches.
- Design, build, and evolve REST APIs with best practices including versioning, contract-first methodologies, backward compatibility, and robust error handling.
- Define and enforce engineering standards for clean code, testing, code reviews, observability, security, and CI/CD.
- Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a strong delivery culture.
- Partner with Product, QA, UX, and stakeholders to refine scope, assess technical risks, shape the roadmap, and deliver incrementally.
- Encourage AI-first engineering practices with appropriate governance, including quality gates, security, traceability, and testing.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with proven technical leadership.
- Strong backend expertise in Java (versions 17/21/25+) with solid testing practices and performance awareness.
- Proven ability to design and communicate software architecture concepts (microservices/modular monoliths, Clean/Hexagonal Architecture, SOLID principles, integration patterns, API design).
- Strong engineering fundamentals in CI/CD, Git workflows, code review practices, observability, and a secure-by-design mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional English (B2+ preferred).
