Overview.ai is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to develop web tools and GenAI applications that enhance their edge-AI vision platform for manufacturing quality control. This role involves owning tools end-to-end, from React/TypeScript interfaces to Python backend services. You will work on the cutting edge of AI, building LLM-powered assistants, synthetic data generation tools, and agent-style workflow builders. The position offers high autonomy within a small, fast-paced team, allowing you to define approaches, ship quickly, and iterate with users.
Responsibilities
- Design and build LLM-powered tools such as AI copilots, expert assistants, synthetic training-data generators, and agent-style flow builders.
- Develop and own full-stack web tools, including React/TypeScript frontends and Python backends/APIs for customer-facing products and internal utilities.
- Rapidly prototype new tools, gather user feedback, and iterate to transform ideas into shipped products.
- Integrate developed tools with the edge-AI stack, including camera fleets, inference outputs, recipes, and firmware, using real inspection data.
- Ensure the performance, reliability, and user experience of the tools, making them fast, clear, and trustworthy.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building full-stack web applications and shipping products end-to-end at a Senior or Staff level.
- Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript for building modern web interfaces.
- Strong proficiency in Python for backend services, APIs, and data/tooling.
- Experience building LLM-powered/GenAI product features (e.g., LLM API calls, prompt engineering, RAG, agent workflows) or a strong aptitude for it.
- A product mindset with a focus on user needs, good judgment in ambiguous situations, and the ability to drive tools from concept to launch.
- Professional experience with or strong passion for using AI agent tools to architect solutions.
- Familiarity with Docker and cloud deployment.
