About the job

We are seeking a driven solutions leader with a product mindset to partner with international public-sector customers and ensure they achieve tangible value with GenAI. You will collaborate with government agencies, policymakers, and other public institutions to establish a GenAI strategy and identify high-value applications. You'll work with their technical teams, subject matter experts, regional cloud providers, systems integrators, and implementation partners to move from prototype through production, designing architectures using supported OpenAI technologies and approved services. This role involves close collaboration with regional Sales and Solutions Engineering, Global Affairs, Applied Research, Product, Legal, and Security teams.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver scoped technical implementations with international public-sector customers, acting as a hands-on engineering partner to build applications on supported model APIs and OpenAI technologies.
  • Collaborate with senior customer stakeholders to identify GenAI applications and build a backlog supporting their AI roadmap.
  • Accelerate customer time to value through building hands-on prototypes and providing strategic guidance, often with systems integrators.
  • Manage relationships with customer and partner leadership to ensure successful application deployment and scaling.
  • Contribute to open-source developer and enterprise resources.
  • Scale the Applied AI Engineering function by sharing knowledge, codifying best practices, and publishing notebooks.
  • Validate, synthesize, and deliver feedback to Product, Engineering, and Research teams.

Requirements

  • Substantial technical consulting or hands-on delivery experience with international public-sector or regulated customers, bridging regional technical teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Proven success leading GenAI or traditional ML implementations for government agencies in collaboration with systems integrators.
  • Understanding of network and cloud architecture, including on-premise deployments, with practical judgment on privacy, data residency, model-inference location, and regulated environments.
  • Effective communication skills, translating business and technical topics to diverse audiences, including cross-cultural communication.
  • Industry experience in programming languages like Python, Go, or Typescript.
  • Ability to own problems end-to-end and acquire necessary knowledge.
  • Humble attitude, eagerness to help colleagues, and commitment to team success.
  • High throughput operator capable of driving multiple concurrent projects and prioritizing effectively.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders in the target region's business hours and travel for customer delivery.
  • Existing UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is strongly preferred.

Benefits

  • Hybrid work model (3 days in office per week)
  • Relocation assistance for new employees
