About the job

NVIDIA is seeking a System Software Engineer for their 2027 RDSS program. This internship role involves working directly in CPU software fields across various products, including server, embedded, and automotive applications. You will contribute to the development and debugging of system software in both pre-silicon simulation/emulation and physical hardware environments. The role also focuses on applying modern Generative AI techniques to enhance engineering workflows, such as evidence retrieval and root-cause analysis, while ensuring AI-generated results are validated against engineering data.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and debug system software across pre-silicon simulation/emulation and physical hardware environments.
  • Perform simulator/emulator/platform bring-up, chip-level firmware development, integration, and validation.
  • Apply GenAI techniques (prompt engineering, agentic workflows) to debug, improve, and optimize engineering workflows.
  • Validate AI-generated results against engineering evidence.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and global teams.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation.

Requirements

  • MS in CS, CE, EE, Systems Engineering or related software/hardware engineering major.
  • Ability to break down complex engineering problems into manageable tasks.
  • Strong programming skills in C.
  • Working knowledge of Python or another scripting language.
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems, computer architecture, and ARM-based platforms.
  • Practical familiarity with modern GenAI concepts and tools.
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated results against engineering evidence.
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
