NVIDIA is developing the foundational software for the next generation of AI infrastructure, focusing on evolving Kubernetes and the cloud-native ecosystem to support advanced AI workloads. The team's mission is to establish Kubernetes as the premier platform for AI, actively contributing upstream to Kubernetes and CNCF projects. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will address complex challenges at the intersection of Kubernetes, distributed systems, and AI infrastructure, working with open-source communities to shape the future of cloud-native AI.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and contribute upstream to new capabilities for Kubernetes and CNCF projects.
- Collaborate with internal NVIDIA engineering teams to identify and solve AI infrastructure challenges through open-source innovation.
- Engage with Kubernetes SIGs, Working Groups, and the broader open-source community on design and implementation.
- Participate in architecture discussions, API design, technical proposals, and code reviews.
- Build scalable and reliable infrastructure software for AI workloads.
- Create technical documentation and design proposals.
Requirements
- B.Sc/M.Sc or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or platform software.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes and the cloud-native ecosystem.
- Experience extending, building, or contributing to Kubernetes-based solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with engineering teams and open-source communities.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and interest in learning AI infrastructure.
