About the job
NVIDIA's DSX OS transforms GPU infrastructure into a multi-tenant platform for AI teams, offering scheduling, orchestration, serving, and observability for AI workloads at data-center scale. The DSX OS Platform Software group develops this layer through projects like KAI-Scheduler, Snapshot, Grove, and Run:ai, contributing to the open-source cloud-native and AI serving ecosystems. The team prioritizes performance, reliability at scale, and providing users with insights into their workloads. We are seeking skilled software engineers to design and build scalable, high-performance systems, solve complex distributed-systems problems, and collaborate with experts to support the next generation of AI workloads.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop open-source platform components with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Build and optimize Kubernetes-native systems, including controllers, operators, schedulers, and APIs for orchestrating GPU workloads.
- Contribute to open-source projects by designing in public, writing proposals, reviewing community code, and engaging with users and maintainers.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and partner teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, primarily in Go.
- Conduct code and design reviews and mentor team members.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in backend software development, including system design and architecture.
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language.
- Deep familiarity with Kubernetes and the cloud-native ecosystem.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges and deliver high-quality solutions.
