About the job

Join our GPU Assembler team to build tools that enable the creation of highly performant applications and libraries for HPC, Deep Learning, and Autonomous Driving. You will collaborate with key HPC developers globally to optimize performance and efficiency on current and next-generation NVIDIA GPUs by developing industry-leading Assembler and Code Analysis Tools. This role involves contributing to a core platform component for accelerating general-purpose computation on the GPU. The team's Disassembler (NVDISASM) is widely used by CUDA users for binary analysis, and the Assembler is crucial for optimizing key Deep Learning applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of NVIDIA's Assembler and Disassembler for GPU compute.
  • Develop binary analysis and instrumentation features, including call graph generation, program register usage, and GPU binary patching.
  • Collaborate with GPU architecture, debugger, and profiler development teams to deliver new features and product improvements.
  • Ensure compatibility, reliability, and high-quality code generation by working with related component development teams.
  • Gather feedback from customers and partners to drive innovative ideas and features into the product.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • 8+ years of experience in low-level system SW development.
  • Minimum of 6 years of development experience in compilers, assemblers, binary utilities, or binary analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and C/C++ programming skills.
  • Experience in compiler development, including feature support, code generation, and compiler infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of Assembly Language, Processor ISA (GPU ISA is a plus), and processor architecture.
  • Knowledge of object file formats like ELF and debugging formats like DWARF.
