About the job

Netomi is seeking a hands-on DevOps Architect to design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS for their agentic AI platform. This role involves setting technical direction, writing infrastructure and automation code, and advising client stakeholders. The architect will also play a crucial part in leveraging AI tools to enhance development speed and quality while maintaining security standards. The company works with major global brands to enable AI-powered automation in customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AWS architectures for new builds and migrations, and present these designs to stakeholders.
  • Lead systems design decisions for high availability, disaster recovery, multi-account strategy, network topology, and performance at scale.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CDK, and establish standards for its use.
  • Architect and improve CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Write production-grade automation and tooling in Python and Bash, and contribute to Java/Node.js services.
  • Utilize AI coding and assistant tools to accelerate IaC, scripting, documentation, and troubleshooting, critically reviewing AI-generated output.
  • Lead client-facing workshops, architecture reviews, and technical discussions, translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Implement observability solutions and drive incident response and post-mortem practices.
  • Embed security and compliance into infrastructure, including IAM, encryption, and guardrails.
  • Mentor engineers and elevate the team's technical capabilities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles, with at least 2 years in an architect or technical lead capacity.
  • Proficient, hands-on expertise in AWS core domains: VPC networking, IAM, EC2/ECS/Lambda, RDS/DynamoDB/S3, CloudWatch, and cost optimization.
  • Proven record of designing distributed systems for scale, resilience, and fault tolerance.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and Bash for automation; working proficiency in Java or Node.js.
  • Regular, practical use of AI assistants and coding agents in engineering workflows, with an understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
  • Experience leading client or stakeholder engagements and presenting architectures to leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and containers/Kubernetes.
