This position is responsible for developing next-generation AI solutions using Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI to enhance engineering processes across all engineering domains. The role involves addressing system, mechanical, electrical, and software engineering challenges, and automating workflows from assistants to end-to-end solutions. The core focus is on researching and applying state-of-the-art AI techniques to build solutions that improve engineer efficiency and effectiveness. Promising AI solutions will be matured from concept through validation and deployment, with collaboration across internal customers, engineering teams, universities, and strategic partners. The role also supports R&D project teams with technical evaluations of emerging technologies, considering scientific and engineering principles, manufacturability, market, and cost factors.
Responsibilities
- Develop next-generation AI solutions with Machine Learning, GenAI, and Agentic AI to improve engineering processes.
- Evaluate different solution approaches based on problem statements.
- Research and apply state-of-the-art AI techniques to build solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Mature AI solutions from concept and proof-of-concept through validation and deployment readiness.
- Collaborate with internal customers, engineering teams, universities, and strategic partners.
- Support R&D project team engineers and researchers with technical evaluation of technologies.
- Plan, execute, and coordinate R&D programs with internal and external departments, companies, institutions, and academia.
- Evaluate technologies and product designs for compliance with scientific principles, engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements, and specifications.
- Support the development of innovative components and modules from concept through the complete development process.
- Support the ideation process by identifying gaps in current product or manufacturing technology.
- Analyze engineering results and propose product changes to determine feasibility and improvement.
- Manage innovation projects by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, resolving technical issues, and preparing reports.
Requirements
- Master's or higher degree in Engineering (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science).
- 5 years or more of experience, including Ph.D. research, SW & ML/GenAI/AI related industry.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Solid foundation in machine learning principles, algorithms, and practical applications.
- Hands-on experience in machine learning and AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX.
- Experience building production-quality APIs, services, data pipelines, and AI applications with generative AI, agentic AI.
- Proficient in Python programming and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
- Proficient with development tools including Git version control, Linux terminal, and Bash scripting.
- Engineering Domain Knowledge experience preferred.
