Lila Sciences is seeking a Software Engineer to join a team that builds software powering the company's ML workflows and research tooling. You will collaborate with Machine Learning Engineers and Researchers to develop, support, and maintain Lila's ML libraries and tools. This role involves designing and building high-performance, secure, and well-documented Machine Learning libraries, creating CI/CD pipelines and integration tests for ML workflows, and architecting repository designs to follow consistent standards. You will also support debugging, logging, and maintenance for Ray-based compute environments and develop data ingestion pipelines linking lab data to ML teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and build high-performance, secure, and well-documented Machine Learning libraries implementing algorithms from researchers and engineers.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines and integration tests for ML workflows.
- Architect repository designs to ensure consistent standards.
- Support debugging, logging, and maintenance for Ray-based compute environments.
- Build data ingestion pipelines to connect lab data with ML teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience writing software in a commercial setting in Go or Python.
- Experience implementing scalable software solutions.
- Experience with MLOps systems and GitOps (ArgoCD, Github Actions).
- Familiarity with orchestration frameworks like Ray, Argo, or Airflow.
- Proficiency in Containerization, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a team-first mentality.
- Ability to deeply understand complex problems and algorithms.
- Energetic self-starter with strong attention to detail.
