You will collaborate with software engineers and researchers to make complex interfaces for simulation, research operations, orchestration, and SCADA-style monitoring clear, safe, and trustworthy. Your work will directly influence the speed and accuracy of the factory's operations. This role involves leading usability research, designing high-stakes displays, prototyping and validating interfaces, defining human-in-the-loop workflows for AI-driven processes, and championing accessibility standards.
Responsibilities

- Design information architecture and interaction patterns for high-density, high-stakes orchestration and monitoring displays.
- Prototype and validate user interfaces for simulation, lab, and capacity-planning UIs.
- Define human-in-the-loop workflows for supervising, intervening in, and trusting automated and AI-driven processes.
- Translate research findings into specifications, patterns, and design-system contributions for software engineers.
- Establish and maintain accessibility and interaction standards for the platform.
Requirements
- 4-8 years of experience in UX research or human factors for complex operational, industrial, or scientific software.
- Experience designing high-density, high-stakes interfaces such as control rooms or monitoring dashboards.
- Proficiency in core research methods: contextual inquiry, task analysis, and usability testing.
- Strong information architecture and interaction design skills, with experience in Figma or equivalent prototyping tools.
- Experience designing for human-in-the-loop systems and situational awareness.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to partner with engineers and domain experts.
