About the job

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer within Corporate Technology – Chief Technology Office, you will serve as a senior individual contributor and technical leader on an agile team. Your role involves designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will drive critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas, translate firm-wide objectives into concrete technical designs, and elevate the engineering standard through strong architecture, high-quality delivery, and operational rigor. This position requires hands-on technical leadership, contributing production code, and owning end-to-end delivery from design through production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a hands-on technical leader, contributing production code (primarily Python) and owning end-to-end delivery from design through production operations.
  • Lead system and platform architecture for components supporting end-to-end ML workflows, including data transformation, feature management, orchestration, and model serving.
  • Design and develop agentic AI capabilities for workload analysis and optimization recommendations, including evaluation, monitoring, and feedback loops.
  • Build and maintain reusable APIs/SDKs and reference implementations to ensure consistent platform adoption and reduce duplicated effort.
  • Partner with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to clarify requirements, define technical approaches, manage dependencies, and deliver outcomes.
  • Ensure platform reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency through SLOs, monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure as Code for safe and repeatable deployments.
  • Drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for platform components, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Mentor engineers through technical coaching, design reviews, and pairing.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new technologies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of applied experience in software engineering concepts, with formal training or certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for distributed systems and platform services.
  • Strong hands-on Python skills, including building and maintaining APIs/SDKs; ability to lead design and perform high-quality code/design reviews.
  • Experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) and establishing practical team norms for validation and quality.
  • Experience delivering platforms involving Generative AI, including LLM orchestration patterns and agentic AI frameworks, with production-grade evaluation and monitoring.
  • Practical experience with AWS, containerized platforms (e.g., EKS/ECS), and Terraform (or equivalent IaC).
  • Required experience building and operating data/ML workloads on Databricks, including pipelines, notebooks/jobs, Delta/feature datasets, and ML workflow integration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, agile delivery, CI/CD, and modern engineering quality controls.
  • Strong communication skills with business and technical stakeholders, translating strategy into execution and measurable outcomes.
