As a Senior Lead Software Engineer within the Consumer and Community Banking - Digital Technology team, you will be a key member of an agile team focused on enhancing, building, and delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You will leverage your deep technical expertise and problem-solving skills to address a wide range of challenges across multiple technologies and applications, driving significant business impact. This role involves architecting and governing AI-enabled engineering workflows to boost delivery speed, code quality, and operational outcomes, while also influencing leaders and defining enterprise-scale AI-enabled architecture for next-generation customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Create complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design patterns.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review/debug code written by others.
- Architect and govern agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows using enterprise-authorized tools to improve delivery speed, code quality, and operational outcomes at scale.
- Apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities.
- Advise cross-functional teams on technological matters within your domain of expertise.
- Serve as the function’s go-to subject matter expert.
- Contribute to the development of technical methods in specialized fields aligned with the latest product development methodologies.
- Create durable, reusable software frameworks leveraged across teams and functions.
- Influence leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
- Help define enterprise-scale, target state, AI-enabled architecture for solutions in the Consumer & Community Banking division.
- Collaborate with product and engineering to define roadmaps and solution architectures.
Requirements
- 5+ years of applied experience with formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Expertise in one or more programming languages.
- Demonstrated experience designing and leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices across teams.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use and control expectations in engineering workflows, including security, resiliency, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance.
- Ability to influence senior technical leaders on safe scaling patterns and reuse.
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to solve complex technology problems.
- Understanding of the business.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
