You will drive significant business impact by applying deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to diverse challenges across multiple technologies and applications. This role involves designing and shipping production agents, building robust retrieval systems, and managing complex agent memory and organizational context.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and direction to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Design and ship production agents across the federated portfolio, managing them from prototype to production.
  • Build production-ready retrieval systems, including Graph RAG with knowledge-graph traversal, vector search, chunking, ranking, and grounding strategies for accurate and auditable answers.
  • Design agent memory systems with episodic and semantic memory organized as memory nodes, including recall, summarization, and decay policies.
  • Manage organizational context, assembling entitlement-, lineage-, and tenant-aware context for agents.
  • Compose multi-agent workflows using A2A and integrate tools and data through MCP servers.
  • Build and run evaluations for agents, including task-level and end-to-end assessments, regression suites, LLM-as-judge, and quality safety gating.
  • Deploy and operate solutions on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) with strong SDLC, security, resiliency, and observability practices.
  • Partner with product and business stakeholders to translate use cases into shipped and supported agents.
  • Serve as a firm-wide subject matter expert in relevant areas.
  • Contribute to the engineering community by advocating for firmwide frameworks, tools, and Software Development Life Cycle practices.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience, with at least 4 years in AI/ML solutions.
  • Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in at least one programming language, with strong skills in Python, including deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, and statistics.
  • Hands-on experience building LLM-powered or agentic applications in production, including tracing, evaluations, and guardrails.
  • Deep proficiency with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS, micro-VM isolation technologies, and sidecar architectures, with proven experience in defense-in-depth security across the stack (network, mTLS, workload identity, authorization, runtime isolation, application guardrails).
  • Practical RAG experience, including retrieval quality, embeddings, and vector stores.
  • Expert knowledge of at least one of: AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of data management and data model design, and real-time processing using SQL (e.g., Postgres) and NoSQL stores (e.g., OpenSearch, Redis).
  • Excellent communication skills for effective partnership with senior technical and business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
