We are seeking a Product Manager / AI Product Manager to join our Payments Platform team. In this high-visibility role, you will define and drive the product strategy for AI-powered automation within our payments platform. You will leverage data, machine learning, and agentic AI to enhance reliability, mitigate operational risk, and accelerate the resolution of payment issues at scale. This position sits at the critical intersection of payments domain workflows, machine learning (particularly anomaly detection), and LLM-based systems (RAG, agentic orchestration).
Responsibilities
- Own the AI automation roadmap for the payments platform, focusing on measurable outcomes like reduced exceptions and faster triage.
- Identify and prioritize high-impact payment workflows for AI augmentation or automation.
- Lead rapid proof-of-concept (PoC) development using AI/ML to validate value and scale successful PoCs into production.
- Drive the anomaly detection strategy, including signals, feature sets, model approaches, and monitoring.
- Translate business and user needs into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, and phased delivery plans.
- Partner with engineering/ML teams to design LLM + RAG solutions, including knowledge grounding, context retrieval, and evaluation.
- Define and track key success metrics such as precision/recall for anomalies, false positives, and automation rate.
- Drive alignment across stakeholders and own end-to-end delivery from discovery to launch and iteration.
- Lead end-to-end product delivery processes, including intake, dependency management, and release management.
- Ensure adherence to the firm's risk, controls, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage timelines and dependencies, monitor blockers, and ensure adequate resourcing.
Requirements
- Experience in product management delivering data/AI-enabled products from concept to launch.
- Deep understanding of machine learning models, with a focus on anomaly detection techniques and operationalization.
- Hands-on fluency with Python and SQL for partnering, prototyping, and validating outputs.
- Strong understanding of LLMs, including RAG, prompt/context design, evaluation, and common failure modes.
- Familiarity with agentic AI systems, including tool-using agents, orchestration patterns, and guardrails.
- Ability to work with structured and semi-structured data and define data requirements for ML/LLM systems.
- Strong stakeholder management skills in complex environments to drive decisions and execution.
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product delivery or a relevant domain area.
- Demonstrated ability to execute operational management and change readiness activities.
- Strong understanding of delivery and a proven track record of implementing continuous improvement processes.
- Experience in product or platform-wide release management, including deployment processes and strategies.
- Experience deploying containerized AI/ML or automation applications on AWS using ECS, with familiarity in related services.
