Isomorphic Labs is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Inference Platform team in London. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and scalability of the company's AI infrastructure, which is used to build foundation models for drug discovery. You will play a key part in hardening systems and ensuring the AI infrastructure is stable, reliable, and can handle increasing data volumes and model sizes as the company grows. This is an opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking innovation in applying AI to cure disease within an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and operate the inference platform serving machine learning models to scientific applications.
- Design strategy and build roadmaps for maturing the inference platform.
- Architect and optimize next-generation inference services, addressing scaling limits and ensuring high-throughput performance.
- Contribute to core technical decisions on tooling and architectural design.
- Partner with science, product, and operations teams to align infrastructure with R&D cycles.
- Deliver high-quality, well-tested, user-focused features.
Requirements
- Proven experience architecting and managing large-scale AI/ML workloads in production.
- Significant experience deploying and managing complex workloads within Kubernetes.
- Expertise in cloud compute design, specifically within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Professional familiarity with NVIDIA GPU generations and high-performance compute intricacies.
- Strong programming skills and a reliability-first approach to software development.
