This 10-week internship offers a unique opportunity to experience life as a Deep Learning Researcher at IMC. You will work with extensive datasets and advanced training infrastructure, witnessing how rigorous research drives tangible business outcomes. The program is designed for scientific thinkers passionate about advancing deep learning research, with no prior financial industry experience necessary. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Deep Learning Researchers on projects to develop or enhance models with business impact.
- Investigate research areas including representation learning, transformers, foundation models, generative AI, and reinforcement learning.
- Develop research skills through mentorship and feedback from dedicated leads.
- Participate in professional development sessions focused on career growth at IMC.
- Attend networking events and social activities to connect with peers and employees.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Expected graduation date between September 2027 and July 2028.
- Demonstrated experience in applying deep learning techniques.
- Strong programming skills in Python and hands-on experience with a deep learning framework (PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow).
- Creative problem-solver with resilience and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Must be able to start the internship in person on June 7, 2027.
- Publication records at leading ML venues or contributions to open-source research are a plus.
