This 9-week internship offers a unique opportunity to experience life as a Deep Learning Researcher at IMC. You will work with extensive datasets and advanced training infrastructure, gaining firsthand insight into how research drives real-world outcomes. The program is designed for scientific thinkers passionate about advancing deep learning research, with no prior financial industry experience required. IMC provides a competitive compensation package, including accommodations. Successful interns who meet performance expectations may be offered a full-time Graduate Deep Learning Researcher position upon completion of the program.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Deep Learning Researchers on projects to develop or enhance models impacting the business.
- Explore research areas including representation learning, transformers, foundation models, generative AI, and reinforcement learning.
- Develop research skills with mentorship and feedback from dedicated staff.
- Participate in professional development sessions focused on career growth at IMC.
- Attend events and social activities to network with peers and IMC employees.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, graduating in 2028.
- Experience applying deep learning techniques.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Hands-on experience with at least one modern deep learning framework (PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow).
- Creative problem-solver, driven, resilient, and able to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Must be able to start the internship in person in the last week of June 2027.
