This role involves collaborating with researchers to conduct research operations using existing infrastructure. You will apply standard techniques to a variety of technical problems, using your judgment in complex scenarios. The position requires managing numerous concurrent experiments, accurately estimating timelines, and reviewing experimental results to suggest improvements. You will also write technical reports detailing both qualitative and quantitative findings for external parties. The ideal candidate possesses a practical optimism, proficiency in Python, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
- Characterize neural network quality, failure modes, and edge cases based on research data.
- Maintain awareness of current trends in relevant research and technology areas.
- Coordinate with researchers and accurately convey the status of experiments.
- Manage a large number of concurrent experiments and provide accurate time estimates.
- Review experimental results and suggest theoretical or process improvements.
- Write technical reports with qualitative and quantitative results for external parties.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to colleagues and various audiences.
- Introspection, thoughtfulness, and detail-orientation.
- Experience reading research papers and implementing their techniques (plus).
- Computer vision and deep learning experience (plus).
- Master’s or Ph.D. in a related field and/or 5+ years of experience (plus).
