As an intern on the AV ML Infra team, you will contribute to the development and optimization of our machine learning infrastructure for autonomous vehicles. This role involves improving data processing pipelines, scheduling, accelerating model training and inference workflows, and enhancing testing infrastructure. You will support tool development, instrumentation, and system monitoring to increase reliability, reduce latency, and speed up iteration cycles for autonomous driving performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable infrastructure and tools for model training, regression, operations, and inference.
- Synthesize requirements and contribute to feature roadmap creation.
- Write code deliverables in collaboration with the engineering team.
- Adapt standard machine learning methods to leverage parallel environments like distributed clusters, multicore SMP, and GPUs.
- Perform specific responsibilities that may vary by team.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a full-time degree-seeking program for a Bachelor's or Master's in computer science or a related technical field.
- Experience in systems software or algorithms.
- Proficiency in modern object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
