As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be a key player in the Customer Experience team, developing solutions on the core platform using languages like TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python. A significant part of this role involves building a Knowledge Graph by integrating DevRev with various SaaS and non-SaaS systems using webhooks, APIs, and real-time communication architectures. You will leverage your creativity and expertise to shape how AI, analytics, and workflows are applied within customer processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and launch AI agents, integrations, and automations connecting DevRev with customer tech stacks.
- Integrate DevRev with SaaS and non-SaaS platforms using APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
- Optimize AI performance through prompt engineering, semantic search tuning, and generative AI techniques.
- Write SQL queries, perform data analysis, and build dashboards to provide customer insights.
- Develop rapid proofs-of-concept, conduct technical demos, and iterate on solutions based on feedback.
- Collaborate with customers, engineering, product, customer success, support, and revenue teams.
- Master new tools and guide customers through critical workflows like code repository integrations.
- Build the Knowledge Graph by integrating DevRev with other systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development, systems integration, or platform engineering.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python.
- Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and function calling.
- Experience with API integration patterns (REST, GraphQL, webhooks) and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience deploying on serverless and edge platforms (e.g., AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions).
- Skilled in data mapping, schema alignment, and working with heterogeneous systems.
- Experience implementing logging, error surfacing, and telemetry.
- Familiarity with Model Context Programming (MCP).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Experience writing concise technical documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
